Delicious finger meat balls . . .

Meatballs . . .

Ingredients: 

8 oz  extra-lean ground beef 

3 Tbsp  dry breadcrumbs 

1 garlic clove minced

2 Tbsp  hoisin sauce 

1 egg 

pinch of salt 

 

Sauce:

⅓ cup  hoisin sauce 

⅓ cup  red currant jelly (or apple or grape jelly)

1 garlic clove minced

1 tsp grated ginger

1 tbsp water

1 tsp  seeds for garnish

1 green onion finely chopped for garnish

 

Instructions: 

1. In a bowl add ground beef, bread crumbs, garlic, 2 tbsp hoisin sauce, egg and salt, mix well. Form into 24 meatballs and place on parchment paper on baking tray.

2. Bake at 425 F for 10 minutes or just until cooked.

3. In large skillet, add red currant jelly, 1/3 cup hoisin sauce, garlic and grated ginger and water.  

4. Cook on a medium heat just until jelly dissolves. Add meatballs, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. 

5. Serve with sesame seeds and finely chopped green onion. Enjoy!
